Boston Flow takes pride in its start as a DIY benefit event movement. Once a month, the Boston Flow Troupe votes on a cause to support for their signature Benefit Burns. The typical Benefit Burn features a potluck, local art showcase, jam circle, and of course, a safe space for fire spinning. These gatherings double as fundraisers and awareness events intended to provide Boston’s creative community with an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the community while doing what they love. Some past causes and nonprofits supported by Boston Flow include The Greater Boston Food Bank, Animal Rescue League of Boston, Pebbles for Nepal, Happy Hippie Foundation, Vh1 Save the Music, Sacred Stone Camp, ABCD, Feminist Fiber Art, Democracy Matters, Rafael Hernandez School, The Cambridge Women’s Center, and counting.
